Widebay Animal Rescue is a not for profit charity so your donations are tax deductable
How your donations help
100% of our funding comes from the community, the funds raised help us rescue animals from the Widebay region and to assist community members to rehome animals they can no longer care for.
Our major expense is Vet bills. Desexing animals is a big cost, but many of the animals rescued require other vet work – dental work, skin ailments and sometimes major operations. The region does not pay for this work so without our help these animals could not be rehomed.
Then there is the food for our foster dogs and cats, regular treatments for fleas, ticks and heartworm, beds, collars and leads … and the list goes on! Some of this is donated but we often need to purchase good quality food, especially for puppies and kittens.
We also have the expense of running the organisation – we keep this to a minimum but it all adds up.
Whilst we do a lot of fund raising and the sale of animals is income, it is not enough to cover all our expenses.
People donating to Widebay Animal Rescue can claim income tax deductions for their gifts to our organisation.
